The HEU is a very small, self-contained GPS tracking and communications device that can be easily hidden in the body of any heavy equipment so no one knows it's there.

Using satellite (GPS) technology, The HEU vehicle GPS quietly tracks the vehicle's exact location. When polled by the user, the HEU reports the vehicle's location using cellular communications. The user acquires information on the vehicle location via the Internet from any browser equipped PC.

The HEU is designed to operate reliably even if the heavy equipment is parked for long periods of time. Using the heavy equipment's battery and a special power saving technology, the HEU can protect the vehicle for up to sixty days, and can actively broadcast its location for at least 20 hours on its own power.

The HEU will be packaged in a NMEA enclosure with weather-tight exits for hidden antennas, power and I/O cables.

Features

  1. The HEU can be configured to automatically report its location speed and direction. Configuration is interval between days and times of day (max 7).
  2. The HEU can be polled via the web for location, speed, and direction.
  3. If the heavy equipment unit is set up with an alarm system when the alarm goes off for 15 seconds a report of the HEU's location, speed, and direction is sent to the call center and can be forwarded to the user via phone, fax, or email.
  4. The HEU can be configured to send in a report when a selected maximum speed has been exceeded for a selected period of time. This report is sent in at a maximum rate of once an hour regardless of number of times during that hour that the threshold has been passed.
  5. The HEU can be paged via the web to get the devices fastest speed since midnight the previous evening.
  6. The HEU can be configured with 4 rectangular constraint regions. If the heavy equipment moves outside of the regions a report is automatically sent to the call center. This report is transmitted only once a day regardless of how many times the HEU violates the constraint regions.
  7. The heavy equipment unit can be put into recovery mode by paging via the web. In this mode the HEU will automatically report its location a pre-configured number of times at a preconfigured interval.
  8. The HEU can be paged via the web to activate 2 multipurpose outputs.
  9. The HEU can be paged via the web to disable or enable the starter. When the ignition of the heavy equipment is turned off an automatic report is sent to the call center with the location of the device.
  10. The HEU can be configured to automatically report in when a certain number of equipment hours have been reached or after certain intervals of equipment hours.
  11. The HEU can be paged via the web for an immediate report of equipment hours.
